The Digital Shopfront is a new website designed to showcase the Digital Services department, aimed at supporting you and telling you more about the work we’re doing to benefit the University community.

Digital underpins many strategic goals and values at the University, and this new site will help to promote these digital initiatives to highlight the work that is being done to improve the staff and student experience.

On this site, you will find:

  • Access to support for a range of Digital Services, from day-to-day technology to digital education tools and topics.
  • Information on our recent initiatives, including case studies on recent projects and collaboration with other departments.
  • Posts on the latest Digital Services news.
  • Our AI assistant, Newton.

Case studies cover collaborations between Digital Services teams and other departments across the university on delivering new and improved digital tools and services. These, along with regular release notes, will show where our main focus is being directed and the ongoing progress of these initiatives.

In particular, look out for our case study on how we took a user-led approach to the success of the UniLincoln app which launched last year and is continuing to see high usage due to its user-friendly design and beneficial features.

The Digital Shopfront will replace the existing Digital Services website (digitalservices.lincoln.ac.uk) with a new look and feel, taking design cues from the main university website. As this is a direct replacement, existing content such as the Digital Strategy, digital policies and Skills Bootcamps, will also move to the new Shopfront site. Staff and students who regularly access the older website will be automatically redirected to the new Digital Shopfront.

We hope you find the new Digital Shopfront informative and useful!
